exploring community inclusion and participation through art...

This space is dedicated to sharing artwork produced by Occupational Therapy students enrolled in a course at the University of Sydney. The course introduces students to the notion of community development through occupation. Students have been asked to think about the occupational nature of communities. That is, what people do, how they do it, where they do it, and who they do it with. They have also been asked to consider how people experience inclusion and participation in the everyday life activities that shape a community. In doing so, students have analyzed factors within people, environments, and the activities themselves that facilitate or inhibit community participation.

Students present their findings, here, as art. Our aim is to share what we have learned from, with, and about communities outside of Australia. We offer our analysis and resultant artistic statements concerning the health and well-being of communities...through the lens of inclusion and participation in everyday occupations.

We hope you will enjoy what you see.
